Twinnies are hard to turn...

Indeed. Try these on for size- from the top you have RK throwing a little spray, Rastovich putting one of Mackie's flextails on a rail and into a turn that doesn't appear to be sliding out and a guy named Bud who lives in Hawaii and not only built the really sweet looking single bump modern twin he's riding, but knows what to do with it at Rocky Point. This prompted by a session at Mailbu and watching so many people go so straight. All good if that's your bag, but personally I like what you see here. Of course I was riding a 3 fin Simster so I'm not worth a damn either. The flextail gets broken out this week if the swell persists.

...great post, how does the simster feel compared to a casper? (especially turns/cutbacks) very curious....also that mackie is awesome, will he make another one to sell? thanks...

Say yes to twinnies.

It is really depressing to watch all those beautiful new hulls being ridden like longboards; straight-off lame trims with the Miki/Dirt poseur slouch and maybe a nursed flattish bottom turn now and then. Sacrilege! Get it up on a rail dammit! If you're afraid of starfishing, drop the single and slap some keels in the training wheel slots and try SURFING again.

I'm totally sold on the twin. A couple of variations in board length and outline for wave size/power and a couple of sets of fins with varying base lengths and you can handle just about anything.
